What to Bring:
Up-to-date Shot Record which includes the following vaccinations:
Rabies, Parvo, Distemper and Bordatella (Kennel Cough).
You will need to provide your own food. We do not like to change your pet(s) diet as it can cause stomach upset. We have bowls, so you don't have to bring any if you choose not to. You may also bring your pet(s) favorite treats.
We can provide beds and blankets for your pet. However, if you would like to bring your pet(s) own bed or blanket, please do so. You may also bring some of their own toys. Anything that you think will help your pet(s) stay be more comfortable.
Additionally, please bring any prescription medications that your pet needs. Please make sure all medications are clearly marked with the pet's name and dosage information. We have skilled staff that are trained to administer the medications properly.
To save yourself time checking in, you may download and fill out the required form ahead of time and bring them with you. The form is in Microsoft Word format.
We are contracted with both Desert Veterinary Clinic and Chaparral Veterinary Clinic for Emergency Services. If Desert Vet or Chaparral Vet is not your regular vet, please also fill out the Authorization for Release of Records. This form gives our Vets permission to get your pet(s) records from their regular vet so they can properly treat your pet(s) in the event of an emergency. If you regularly use Desert Vet or Chaparral Vet, you do not need to fill out the Authorization for Release of Records.
Please call us if you have any questions regarding these forms.
*Please help us keep our facility parasite free*
Dogs must be free of all parasites when boarding at Urban K9. Dogs will be inspected for fleas and ticks upon check in. Any dog found to have fleas and/or ticks will be given a flea/tick bath at the owner's expense. For heavy infestation, we may use a topical agent.
If your dog has already been treated with a topical agent, or has an allergy to flea/tick shampoos or treatments, please let us know!!
